desktop operating systems like Windows 7 is still dominated market operating system (OS) today. Their authority that lasted more than a decade, predicted will continue to be eroded and replaced with a new OS technology.

Some observers see the desktop operating system will soon be replaced in the future, and will soon move to OS-based cloud computing. The point is, all operating systems and applications can be run by using the Internet, also known as cloud computing (cloud computing).

The number of applications available for Facebook and Google, in fact indirectly is the basic base of the cloud platform, where any data that use these applications, are not stored on the desktop, but as if from the internet.

“The future of the operating system will be a big chance to adopt cloud computing,” said Google Australia’s Engineering Director Alan Prize, told the Sydney Morning Herald, Thursday (7/1/2009).

Google itself based on a rumor going mengelurkan Chrome OS, an operating system that’s based on cloud computing. In addition, for the other prefixes are also launching Google App Engine to develop applications based on cloud computing in April 2008. According to the Internet rakasas, App Engine helps developers in creating software that relies on quick Google infrastrutuktur power.

“We are looking for and to make developers more focused in making the application. Indirectly this cloud computing is very reliable in the future, where the room is very big required,” said Noble.

However, Noble can not predict when this cloud operating system could really seriously developed, so that the desktop OS will start to be left as a whole.
