2010, each person will Have 1 Transistors
Electronics September 3rd, 2009
The number of transistors produced in the world more and more. Even in 2010, every single person predicted to ‘have’ one billion transistors.
According to IBM research revealed Syahbana Fetra, Country Manager of Systems & Technology Group IBM Indonesia IBM arena through Technology Conference Expo 2009, at Hotel Shangrila, Jakarta, Thursday (19/3/2009).
“In the year 2010 is estimated to every single human being will ‘have’ 1 billion transistors,” said Fetra in front of reporters.
Because, he continued, electronic goods these days it’s hard to be released from human life. Electronic device is of course composed of various components, now one transistor.
“Just now, you certainly have more than one phone. Not to count other electronic devices such as refrigerators, TV or the other,” explained Fetra.
According to wikipedia, the transistor is a semiconductor device used as an amplifier, the circuit breaker and connecting (switching), voltage stabilization, signal modulation, or as other functions.
Transistors can also function as a kind of electric faucet, where according to input current (BJT) or voltage input (FET), which allows electrical conduction of the circuit is very accurate source of electricity.
Still according to IBM research, the 2 billion people predicted to be immediately connected to the internet. Meanwhile, the number of mobile phone users at the end of this year is predicted to penetrate 4 billion.
